This pass-through Female to Female SCART adapter uses a custom PCB which provides a solid, hard-soldered & direct connection between each end of the coupler. Video, sync & audio is optimally routed to help avoid interference.

Unlike cheap female SCART couplers which simply bridge all audio inputs and outputs which results in low volume/muffled audio, these couplers have a dedicated audio switch which allows for full stereo audio to be passed through to either the SCART output or to the external 3.5mm audio jack.

Far superior than most of the cheap couplers found elsewhere which contain a rats nest of kynar wire which is not suitable for AV signals.

Example of use:

  • Allows one to extract audio from the SCART connector, for example, if one wishes to breakout SCART audio via 3.5mm audio/x2 RCA connectors to external speakers or similar.
  • Extending connections by using two male SCART cables together.
  • A simple replacement for a female to female SCART cable. Less cables involved. Less signal degradation.

Note on audio: stereo audio is extracted from the ‘IN’ SCART connector which is routed to the 3.5mm audio output jack OR simply passed through to the ‘OUT’ SCART connector (selectable via the switch). If you wish to use x2 RCA (red and white), a 3.5mm to x2 RCA cable can be used with the 3.5mm audio output jack, as shown in the product pictures.
