This pass-through YPbPr component video over SCART adapter uses a custom PCB which provides a solid, hard-soldered & direct connection between each end of the adapter. Video, sync & audio is optimally routed to help avoid interference. Optional 3.5mm audio input jack for feeding audio to the SCART output.

Please note: this adapter is a passive adapter, it does NOT convert YPbPr to RGB. It simply routes YPbPr component video to the SCART connector. Your target device MUST support YPbPr over SCART for this adapter to work!   • Includes a 3.5mm to x2 RCA breakout cable for audio.

Example of use:

  • Allows one to use YPbPr (component) over SCART, for specific devices that support it. I.e. new gscartsw, BKM-129X SCART/VGA and JVC-IFC01COMG SCART clone cards.
  • Supports older gscartsw units which uses composite video/composite sync line to detect inputs. Requires closing the sync jumper with solder on the PCB.
  • Using a OSSC or RetroTINK 4K, YPbPr Component can be used over the SCART input connector. For example, Wii/PS2/Xbox Component cable -> YPbPr to SCART adapter -> OSSC.
    Please note, the RetroTINK 5X does not support YPbPr over RGB, so it is incompatible.

Note on audio: stereo audio input from the 3.5mm audio jack is routed to the SCART output connector. A 3.5mm audio to x2 RCA (red/white) breakout cable can also be used to feed audio to the SCART connector.
