PicoLoader is a solderless GameCube modchip that enables homebrew booting by emulating the DVD drive during startup. It launches Swiss, allowing you to boot a game DVD or access storage via compatible accessories such as SD2SP2.

Features

  • Installation uses a flex PCB that connects directly to the DVD drive connector, requiring no soldering.
  • Pre-programmed with PicoLoader firmware and Swiss.
  • Can boot homebrew apps with a size of up to ~16 MB.
  • Disk drive remains in-tact, no permanent modifications to the GameCube and kit is easy to remove.

Prerequisites:

  • Gamebit screwdriver
  • #2 Phillips screwdriver
  • #0 or #1 Phillips screwdriver
  • USB C cable for firmware updates
  • SD Gecko, SD2SP2 or similar for use with e.g. Swiss
