This console is in good condition overall with minor wear on the top shell as expected. The expansion port slot has been replaced with a 3D printed replacement as it was missing.
This listing is for only the console. No controllers or cables are included, unless you decide to purchase the console with one of our Premium MD2 RGB SCART cables from the drop-down menu.
Please note: this is a European model Mega Drive/Genesis 2 and Japanese cartridges will not fit without modification to the cartridge slot. We recommend an Everdrive by krikzz for the best experience.
The console will of course play games from all regions and is compatible with an original MD2/Genesis 2 PSU from in all regions. Alternatively, we can also supply a Triad replacement PSU which can be found on our website.
50/60hz region switching LED status:
Green (USA/NTSC-U/60hz), blue (JP/NTSC-J/60hz) & red (EU/PAL/50hz).
DFO:
Dual frequency oscillator which corrects the base clocks for 50Hz and 60Hz video-modes. Enabling PAL consoles to be comparable to genuine 60hz consoles which is ideal for RGB users. Eliminates black & white video output via composite/s-video and eliminates stutter with modern displays which are less tolerant with sync than CRT TVs.
