Description
Oscilloscope measurements are available below. As shown, ripple and noise remain below 15–30mV p-p at full load inside the console—not with a simple resistive dummy load. This is critical, as a resistive load does not accurately represent real-world performance; the Dreamcast draws power in 50–60Hz intervals, which can cause noise, ripple, or instability in cheaper power supplies, but not this one.
ThunderPSU oscilloscope measurements here.
Original PSU oscilloscope measurements here.
The original power supply produces approximately 80–90mV p-p of noise and ripple, while ThunderPSU delivers just 15–30mV p-p under the same conditions.
